EV Adoption: Kerala s surprising surge in demand for electric vehicles has left automakers puzzled. Fame Scheme: Subsidies for electric two, three, and four wheelers has been revised to INR 7, 048 crore, of which INR 5,311 crore is for electric two-wheelers. An allocation of INR 4,048 crore has been made for purchasing electric buses and setting up electric vehicle (EV) charging stations.
In a claim that may sound bizarre to some, a UK Parliamentary Committee blamed ‘Mr Bean’ actor Rowan Atkinson for poor sales of Electric Vehicles (EVs) in Britain.

In tandem with its commitment, India along with other countries at the COP26 conference last year, took a pledge to achieve Zero Emission Vehicles by 2040 and a Net-Zero Emission by 2070.
