Russian Swimming Federation President Vladimir Salnikov has admitted
the focus is on holding home events as he cast doubts over the
possibility of swimmers from Russia competing at the Mare Nostrum
swimming series.
The European Swimming League has provided an update on activities,
with its Bureau having marked 100 days in office and claiming to have
achieved "many key actions" including the creation of a Specialised
Project Commission to promote aquatics as "a sport for all".
The European Swimming League and International Swimming Federation are
seeking to have aquatics disciplines added to the programme for the
2023 European Games.
Swiss Aquatics has said it will pull out of this year’s
International Swimming Federation World Championships if athletes from
Russia and Belarus compete in Hungarian capital Budapest.
