QU Department of International Affairs marks IWD  13 Mar 2021 - 9:15 A panel discussion under way during the International Women’s Day. The Peninsula Doha: Qatar University’s (QU) Department of International Affairs (DIA) marked International Women’s Day in a round table interaction attended by distinguished female diplomats from eight European Embassies and QU staff. Dean of College of Health Sciences, Dr. Hanan Abdul Rahim, Chair of Department of Humanities Dr. Mariam Al Hammadi, Chair of Social Sciences Dr. Fatima Al Kubaisi, Faculty Affairs Specialist Rula Momani, and students attended the event. The participating ladies were delighted to learn from each other about the specific traditions and customs dedicated to women in their respective countries, concluding that women across societies share a strong universal bond through their multiple roles, including their roles as mothers, wives, caretakers, and professionals.
