The European Commission for the Control of Foot and Mouth Disease (EuFMD) plays a significant role in the animal health part of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nation s programme to increase resilience of livelihoods to food and agriculture threats and crises.
The EuFMD manages the largest capacity-building programme in animal health in FAO which blends face to face and virtual training courses and events. A global audience of over 15,000 is registered with the EuFMD virtual learning environment, which hosts a range of virtual courses.
