Are We Getting A Once-Off Bank Holiday In September?

Every year, we look forward to the bank holidays stretching out our beloved weekends by that much-needed extra day. Now there are calls for a once-off bank holiday weekend to happen here in Ireland in September 2021 for the first time ever. The Irish Tourism Industry Confederation has urged the Government to announce an additional bank holiday at the end of September in order to prolong the domestic tourism period in Ireland. As well as this, they are stating that this would be a reward to the public who haven’t necessarily been able to enjoy the other bank holiday weekends at the beginning of the year, and frankly we couldn’t agree more.
