Berlin â Vietnam has rolled out the red carpet for foreign investors, including those from ASEAN member states, to land investment in the field of advanced medical equipment, said Counselor Nguyen Manh Hung at the Vietnamese Embassy in Germany.
At a virtual conference held by Ernst & Young (EY) Global Limited on April 20, Hung said that ASEAN has produced a wide range of medical equipment, and 5-7 percent of the global equipment exports are sourced from ASEAN countries.

Vietnamese food processors have opportunities to tap into the billion-USD Halal market when attending a hybrid exhibition on Halal products and processed food scheduled in late May in Singapore.
The Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO) in Vietnam estimated that the Halal market is growing rapidly, with Muslim consumers worldwide spending 1.4 trillion USD on Halal food, and the figure expected to be ten times higher in 2050.
Vietnam’s capital of shrimp farming

Hanoi (VNA) - After a local silk importer was recently found to be disguising Chinese products as Vietnamese to sell them in India, experts have warned of the risks of losing out on exports and preferential tariffs due to intellectual property (IP) violations.
The Department of Post-Customs Clearance Inspection from the General Department of Customs revealed that it had recently discovered a company in Ho Chi Minh City using its certificate of origin (C/O) to pass off Chinese silk products as Vietnamese and export them to India.
