Thats a rise of almost 1,200 in five weeks. Around half of those are cases linked to this summers riots. In a few days time, the governments temporary early Release Scheme will begin, and some offenders will be able to leave jail at an earlier point in their sentences. They were both shot when they were seized. Itay has been describing in detail what happened to him, his sister and his best friend, after they were taken hostage.
