DraftKings KBO: Saturday Cheat Sheet

The weather held up Friday, but we still couldn t get a full KBO slate, as two games were cancelled after a pair of Dinos tested positive for COVID-19. The Dinos-Heroes game was unsurprisingly postponed as a result, as was the game between the Twins and Bears, since the Bears had just played the Dinos earlier in the week. Both matchups are seemingly at risk for another cancellation Saturday, though neither game has officially been axed as of writing. Those aren t the only games with question marks as of writing, as rain could potentially wash away the Eagles-Landers and Wiz-Tigers contests. With so much uncertainty throughout the slate, I ll be recommending players from all five games here, but you ll definitely want to double-check what the day will actually look like before contests start. Most of the pitchers whose scheduled starts were postponed Friday are set to start again S

The rainy season continues in Korea, as Thursday s two-game slate means we ve now seen just one full slate in the last week. The Wiz and Lions fought a tight battle, with the former getting seven strikeouts over seven shutout innings from William Cuevas, which provided enough of a cushion to hold off a late Lions charge and win 3-2. Jung Dae Bae and Sung Woo Jang both homered for the Wiz, with Ja Wook Koo clearing the fence for the Lions. Elsewhere, the Landers trailed the Heroes 3-1 heading into the eighth inning following a strong start from Eric Jokisch but went on to score four runs in each of the last two frames to win by a comfortable 9-3 score. Rain could be a factor yet again Friday, though only the Giants-Lions game down in Daegu looks particularly threatened as of writing, and even that one appears to have a chance to go forward.

We ll hope to finally get a full five-slate of KBO action in on Thursday for the first time in what seems like forever, but weather concerns still loom over a couple of games. The ledger is once again chock full of former MLB arms, a couple of which stand out as appealing and others that position themselves as targets for some of our hitter and stack selections.
As customary, I ll highlight what I consider to be two of the safer pitching options at different price points, followed by some one-off hitters across the salary scale that could also prove profitable for cash games and/or tournaments. I ll then recommend two stacks that I trust the most to potentially string some above-average offensive numbers together and pay off for you in tournaments.

Wednesday brings us another slate that could possibly be shortened by weather, as three games have least a 39% chance of rain as of this writing. Therefore, it will once again be particularly important to monitor the status of each contest as it gets close to lineup lock at 5:30am ET. Meteorological concerns aside, the ledger once again shapes up as very interesting from a pitching perspective, as it s loaded with former MLB arms.

We have an interesting Tuesday slate in the KBO, one in which there s arguably a stronger array of pitchers than usual in action, several which are former MLB arms. Additionally, as has been the case the last few days, we have weather concerns for multiple games, making it particularly important to monitor the status of each contest as it gets close to lineup lock at 5:30am ET.
