A woman who allegedly called 911 and reported her husband had been accidentally shot was later arrested and charged with murder in connection to the manâs death, Missouri City police allege.
Jacqueline Elaine Thomas, 43, is accused of killing Eugene Liger, 42, of Missouri City, according to Fort Bend County court records.
Thomasâ bond was set at $250,000, according to court records, and she remained jailed as of Monday afternoon.
Police at about 2:30 a.m. last Tuesday, July 20, said they received a call about possible gunshots and responded to a residence in the 1000 block of Americana Lane, where they found Liger with a gunshot wound to his torso. Emergency personnel transported Liger to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, according to police.
