Updated: 5:58 PM EDT Aug 2, 2021 Two Baltimore teachers won money for their classrooms in a national competition that aims to help improve science, technology, engineering, art and math education in public schools.Jenna Porter, a visual arts and photography teacher at Roland Park Elementary and Middle School, won $25,000 for new classroom technology.The funds come from the first-ever Central Intelligence Agency Mission Possible Classroom Transformation competition through the U.S. Department of Energy s nonprofit Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education program, which works to aid critical scientific research and health initiatives.Eugene Chase, a 10th grade computer science teacher at Digital Harbor High School, came in second place, receiving $5,000 for his classroom.
