Peters has admitted that charge. At Newport Crown Court, Mr Harrington, in his closing speech, said: “Some unkind words have been said about Mr Peters. “He has been described as an enforcer, a professional, and that he was recruited to the robbery.” He told the jury: “Do justice to this case. You have to place at least the possibility that Dave Allen was in some way involved. “Because if he was, that lends support to Euan Peters’ case. Mr Harrington added: “We ask you give him a fair trial. “We go so far as to say you should find him not guilty of murder.”

An alleged murder victim was found lying blood-stained and motionless in a cupboard at a ransacked flat after being fatally attacked during a planned robbery, a jury has heard. Conlan Dunnion, Euan Peters, and Perrie Dunwell are charged with conspiring to rob Shafiul Islam in Newport on November 14 and murdering him on November 20, 2019.
Police and paramedics were called to the flat at just before midnight. They found, the court heard, it had been ransacked and discovered Mr Islam, who was known by his nickname ‘Chilly’, unconscious lying in a cupboard. It was a deliberate, gratuitous and violent attack The jury was shown CCTV footage of Dunwell and Peters at the Tawa Indian restaurant in the Spytty area of Newport earlier that evening. Peters was shown picking up a bottle of Kopparberg cider. Dunwell later drove Peters to Mr Islam’s home where Dunnion let him into the block of flats by opening a communal door, the court heard.
