Ethiopia has earned over USD 356 million from the export of 70,480 tons coffee, tea, and spice in the first quarter of the current fiscal year, according to the Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority (ECTA).
The Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority has made an announcement regarding an upcoming international conference in Addis Ababa that will focus on the coffee development value chain.
The 20th African Fine Coffees Conference and Exhibition, along with the inaugural African Coffee Week, will be hosted by Ethiopia in Addis Ababa from February 5th to 9th, 2024.
Coffee quality inspection and certification centers are expected to be opened in Jimma and Hawassa on April 6 and 11, respectively. According to the Ethiopian Tea and Coffee Authority (ETCA), coffee will be exported directly from the centers.
