African airlines have begun vaccinating all their staff to ensure their safety and that of their customers.
Ethiopian Airlines Group, Africa’s leading airline, has also started vaccinating its employees against COVID-19 as of 14th May, 2021 in its temporarily opened vaccination center.
Ethiopian Medical Center is equipped with the latest facilities to give the service in its temporary vaccination center at Ethiopian Aviation Academy. Front line employees with direct contact with customers and partners will get priority. All employees will get the second dose of the vaccine four weeks after they take their first dose.

African Airlines Association, Ethiopian Ink MoU on Aviation Training
Ethiopian Airlines has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with African Airlines Association (AFRAA). Inking the MoU were Mesay Shiferaw, Managing Director of Ethiopian Aviation academy, and Abdérahmane Berthé, AFRAA s Secretary-General. The MoU is on training that will facilitate a framework of collaboration between AFRAA and Ethiopian Airlines Aviation Academy to achieve common objectives on training of aviation professionals across the African continent, AFRAA disclosed in a press release.
The signing of the MoU came following Mr. Berthé s and his leadership team s visit to Ethiopian Airlines, where he met Tewolde GebreMariam, Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO.
