IPSS Search & Rescue and IPSS Medical Rescue responded to a construction site on Zen Drive following reports of a sand bank collapsing. Four contractors died while one survived.
EMPD spokesperson Thabiso Makgato said two of the people who died in the horrific collision were drivers of the two of the 11 vehicles involved in the crash.
