Nicholls students recognized for biology research
Six Nicholls State University biology students were honored by the Louisiana Academy of Sciences at its 95th annual meeting last month.
Coral Foster, Lexi Woods. Alexandra Alterman, Benjamin Bates, Derek Sallman and Ethan Naquin were honored at the conference, which was held virtually for the first time. Organizers invited scientists from across the state to attend and present their research.
Foster, a graduate student from Buford, Georgia, and Woods, a graduate student from Houma, tied for the top graduate oral botany presentation.
Alterman, a graduate student from Thibodaux, placed first for zoology graduate poster.
