Detroit Lakes Boys & Girls Club members and staff will be enjoying the fruits of their own labors this summer, in the form of freshly-grown crops from the club s new hydroponic garden.

Sen. Tina Smith, D-Minn., toured the Boys and Girls Club of Detroit Lakes and downtown businesses on Washington Avenue on Saturday, May 8. The visit was part of her two-day listening tour through northwest Minnesota, which began Friday, May 7 with a stop in Moorhead and finished on Saturday after a visit to Bongards Creamery s store in Perham.
