Oskaloosa News Recap For December 11th, 2020  The FDA advisory committee voted to approve the emergency use authorization of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID vaccine yesterday. The committee was charged with voting on the question: “Based on the totality of scientific evidence available, do the benefits of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine outweigh its risks for individuals 16 years of age and older?” The vote was 17-4, with one-member abstaining. While significant, the vote in favor of the EUA is not final. It now has to be reviewed by the officials with the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, which will confirm the decision. ### Wall Street turned in mixed results on Thursday as the Dow sank 69 points, the S&P dipped 4 points and the Nasdaq climbed 66 points.
