Peshawar admin submits report to PHC on prices

PESHAWAR: The district administration has submitted a report on the direction of Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court (PHC) Justice Qaiser Rashid Khan about the actions taken against hoarders, profiteers and inspection of bazaars conducted across the Peshawar city during the 20 days of Ramazan.
The report stated that in 20 days of Ramazan, 6091inspection of trader centres conducted, 1365 shopkeepers were arrested and 296 shops had been sealed by the administration.
It added that administrative officers were monitoring the auction of fruits and vegetables in the early morning. They issue official pricelists and then go to the field to ensure the implementation of official prices in the city.

NA-75 re-polls case: ECP submits inquiry report in SC
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday has submitted an inquiry report regarding NA-75 Daska by-elections in Supreme Court (SC).
During the hearing of a case against re-polling in the constituency, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lawyer Salman Akram Raja has completed his arguments. The apex court has adjourned the proceedings till April 2.
Previously, SC had halted re-polling in NA-75 Daska on April 10 and postponed the election schedule in the constituency.
Earlier,
ECP had submitted a report comprising map of the constituency and other important details in the court. It was mentioned in the report that on the day of by-polls, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) had called chief secretary numerous times but he didn’t respond.
