Plans are in place to remove Soviet-era monuments in four different locations on the island of Hiiumaa, following the removal of memorial from the village of Emmaste earlier this week.
Narva City Council members said their meeting today with Prime Minister Kaja Kallas (Reform) was positive. It will be decided on Wednesday if the council plans to take the government to court over the removal of the T-34 tank monument from the city.
On Tuesday afternoon, Prime Minister Kaja Kallas (Reform) met with members of Narva City Council at Stenbock House in Tallinn. Following their meeting, the city council members will decide whether or not to take the Estonian state to court over the removal of the Soviet "Tank T-34" monument from the northeastern border city in mid-August.
