really, really good position to just get nikki haley the governor of south carolina delivering the official response to tstate of union getting a lot of high marks from the white house press secretary josh earnest saying what she had to say at least without mentioning trump by name but clearly referring to trump they said, josh earnest, that took some courage. you liked what she said. well, look, nikki haley has made national news twice in the past year. one for taking down the confederate flag on state grounds in south carolina after that awful shooting in charleston. and second, last night for calling out donald trump. let s be very clear, only one of those things took courage. the other was common sense. and when republicans are trying to win over more voters instead of fewer, calling out donald trump and there are other republicans who have done this too for alienating those very voters we re trying to get, is just common sense. i think it s sad that it was considered brave o
yeah it is unbelievable. it is some of the reaction from the los angeles motorist who videotaped that car being driven in reverse. it s how it looked on a windy, very narrow laurel canyon boulevard in los angeles. a man and woman were in the car as it traveled going several miles. sometimes going over the yellow line, nearly hitting oncoming traffic. the man shooting the video eventually stopped taking video because it was dangerous following the car. the lapd trying to catch the wayward motorist. i say just look at the license plate and go from there. as the south carolina legislature voted to end the confederate flag flying on state grounds, republican members put forward and then pulled amid outcry a measure that would allow the confederate flag to be flown at some cemeteries and parks. south carolina governor nikki haley put it in perspective.
you hear the cheers there from hundreds of people outside the statehouse in columbia, south carolina, as uniformed officers lowered the confederate flag there on state grounds and the decades of deep-rooted controversy over the banner, you know, gained steam in the wake of last month s mags customer of nine black church-goers in south carolina. the exact opposite is happening in florida. the confederate flag was taken down after the church massacre a couple of weeks ago, but take a look. it s this week the board of county commissioners voted unanimously to reinstate the controversial flag. we have with us florida state representative dennis baxley to talk about this. representative, good to have you
