Providing hand-knit sweaters, scarves, mittens, and hats during the cold New England winters to those facing hardship has never been more important to Warmer Winters, Inc., an organization that was formed 15 years ago to meet a need in the community.
“Needs for warm winter items have greatly increased due to the pandemic and job losses this year,” said longtime board president David Roth.
In addition, annual fundraisers have been cancelled, leaving the Leominster-based Warmer Winters with less funding to work with.
“Pandemic and fundraising losses notwithstanding,” Roth said, they are fully committed to providing as many winter accessories as possible.
