One of the all-Black graduating classes of what was once Jackson P. Burley High School in Charlottesville gathered this weekend for its 63rd annual reunion.
Burley School served as the high school for Black students in Albemarle County and Charlottesville from 1951 to 1967 when “separate but equal” was the land’s law.
