Esmael Nangy, the alleged head of a transnational kidnapping syndicate operating in South Africa and Mozambique, is an apparent victim of a violent domestic abuse which has resulted in attacks on him.
Esmael Nangy, a Mozambican national alleged to be a kidnapping kingpin operating in South Africa, on Friday hit back at the state's claim he was in the country illegally or that he moved between South Africa and his home country illegally.
