Eskom security guards were wounded at the Winterveld substation on Sunday when gunmen attacked them, the power utility said in a statement on Thursday.
Around 30 heavily armed suspects have shot at seven Eskom security officers during an alleged attempt to steal copper cables in Soweto, killing one of the guards.
