The top diplomats of iran said the country had a legitimate right to self defence after the attack on its diplomatic property in damascus on the 1st of april which killed some of its top Revolutionary Guard members working in the region. Members of the Security Council including the us and uk condemned the attack from iran but there was a call for restraint and an origin of this not to retaliate.
