nice. you and i both covered this story when it had breaking details this week because this couple was all over everywhere. they were in like montana. they thought to be in arkansas. do we actually know where they were in their time on the run? yeah, montana was the last place they were seen. that was one place. arkansas, john mccluskey had family there so they put an apb out there but they were spotted, of course, in arizona as well as new mexico. now, look, new mexico, there was a murder there of linda and gary, a 61-year-old couple from oklahoma vacationing in new mexico and now police are looking to see if welch as well as mccluskey and one of the other escaped inmates may have been connected to that murder. listen. want to tie them to as many crimes as we can. we want to ensure that the new mexico murders are looked at carefully, working with those agencies. and if there were any other crimes committed while they were

listen. do you have any previous criminal records? no, ma am. have you ever been released on bail or any other conditions? no, ma am. the judge also asked her if she was employed, her answer was, quoting here i was. well, you know what, that ranger may have gotten a little luckier than he considers because i understand mccluskey told cops that if he d had the chance, he would have shot the ranger. yeah, because that ranger was the only difference between freedom and jail time. remember when the swat team surrounded that campsite, mccluskey and welch were standing near the car of the neighboring camper. swat teams had to force mccluskey to the ground. that s when welch pulled out her gun, when she found out she was outgunned she dropped it and authorities said be careful with that gun because it might be a murder weapon and that s when mccluskey piped back in, no, no, the murder weapon is still in the tent.
