MANILA - New coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases in the National Capital Region (NCR) and other parts of the country are on the decline, although the pace is slowing down. In an online media forum, Department of Health Epidemiology Bureau officer-in-charge Director Dr. Alethea De Guzman noted the NCR logged 770 new daily cases for the week Oct. 26 to Nov. 1, which is 14 percent lower than 898 average cases from October 19 to 25. The 898 cases were also 36 percent lower than the 1,405 recorded October 12-18. "There is a decline, pero kapag bumabagal, 'yun ay higit nating binabantayan kasi 'yung pagbagal na 'yun posibleng makita natin from negative, nagpa-positive na tayo (There is a decline, but when the decline is slower, we monitor it more because the growth rate may turn from negative to positive)," she said. The country logged 4,183 daily new cases Oct. 26 to Nov. 1, lower than the 4,886 average cases the previous week and the 7,529 daily cases October 12
