For reasons that don’t satisfy me, the editors and powers that be of this, otherwise, great newspaper won’t allow this column to be accompanied by photos from my recent colonoscopy.
Among their objections offered, all of which I find insufficient, are that publishing eight color photos of my colon would be: “disgusting,” “gross,” “sick,” and “inexcusable self-indulgence.” All these things said without anyone taking up my offer to look at the photos before they declined.
