BATON ROUGE - Smoke shop owners in Louisiana are scrambling for a solution after a new law banning non-FDA approved vape products went into effect Friday.
The Office of Alcohol & Tobacco Control will publish a list of which products can be sold in the state as a lawsuit challenging the regulations moves through the courts.
A highly anticipated law that was set to ban flavored vape products in Louisiana has hit a roadblock as the Louisiana Convenience and Vape Store Association mounts a legal challenge against the legislation. The law, which would have prohibited retailers from selling vape products not listed on a state-approved registry, has been temporarily delayed as a judge considers the association's request for a restraining order and permanent injunction.
