Tiamat will be making her debut to Smite in Update 8.2. The update will be launching on February 23, and players will be able to have a chance to check her out and how she works. She’s going to be a mage who has additional stance changes added to her abilities. The stance changes will give players access to new attacks, changing their strategy with how she works. Players who have the Season Pass purchased for Season 8 gain access to all of her skins and voice pack when she goes live.
Alongside Tiamat’s reveal, players can expect to see additional changes to several starter items, namely Manikin Scepter. It’s a starter item plenty of players could abuse its strength with gods that excelled with using basic attacks, namely Arachne, Kali, and Erlang Shen. You can read all of the new changes and check out the new skins in the patch notes posted below.

The solo lane, the shortest lane in Smite, has you going up against a single god, and it’s a battle of endurance. Many players believe it to be a more boring lane because nothing really happens, but if you fail here, the rest of your teammates will feel it, and it’ll be hard to be helpful to them during the late game. It’s critical you win, or at least remain at the same level as the enemy’s team solo. With the changes to the starter items in Season 8, you have a bit more variety, and these choices can impact how well you do in this lane.
