Former Conservative leader Erin O’Toole took a parting shot Monday at the corrosive way social media is dominating political debate in Canada, warning his fellow lawmakers that this Parliament could mark the start of a national democratic decline.
O’Toole said the campaign included the use of money to create propaganda campaigns discrediting him and his policies, and that there was a voter suppression effort run against the party Conservatives.
