TROY, N.Y. â After allegations of sexual harassment allegations were made against Gov. Andrew Cuomo last week, the resolution was later amended to include support for a thorough investigation into to those allegations.
The resolution was adopted by a unanimous vote of 19-0. The resolution had bipartisan sponsorship and had the support of all of the Legislators with Erin Sullivan-Teta, not signing on in support.
In July of 2020, the Legislature adopted a resolution calling for an independent investigation into Gov. Cuomoâs deadly nursing home directive. That resolution passed 13-6 along party lines.
In January 2021, New York State Attorney General Letitia James issued the results of her investigation that concluded that a larger number of nursing home residents had died than what was reported.
RENSSELAER COUNTY, N.Y. â The Rensselaer County Legislature recently noted that it will adopt another resolution supporting investigations into Gov. Andrew Cuomoâs response to the COVID-19 outbreak at New York State nursing homes.

The County Legislature has doubled down on their July 2020 resolution, and has added support for the U.S. Department of Justiceâs investigation into the actions of the Cuomo administration.

TROY – City Democrats have declined to endorse the leaders of the Rensselaer County Legislature’s Democratic minority, instead endorsing two others as candidates to represent the city on the legislature.
Minority Leader Peter Grimm and Deputy Minority Leader Cindy Doran were not endorsed for re-election by the city Democrats, members of the committee confirmed.
