A Passaic County judge sentenced Erin Micco, a 30-year-old Paterson woman, to three years in prison for setting the fire that destroyed an abandoned building on Pearl Street in November.
Micco pleaded guilty to arson last month, admitting she caused the two-alarm blaze in what firefighters initially thought was a vacant building, but soon discovered was home to at least four squatters, all of whom escaped the fire.
She will be subject to three years of parole supervision after her release.
