Monday s Broadcast - Girls Softball - NVL Semifinal - Woodland/Seymour III
Seymour had been shutout in the 2 regular season meetings with the Hawks, but the Wildcats scored a run in the 1st on an rbi single from Kiley Regan and added a run in the 2nd on an rbi single by Emma Rousseau. But that was their last lead for the game. Woodland came roaring back with 4 runs in the 3rd, added 7 runs in the 4th and basically never looked back.
For the Hawks, now 20-0, a lot of offense:
Samantha Sosnovich, the winning pitcher, had 3 hits and scored 2 runs

TOP PERFORMANCES (4/26-5/2):
Maddy FitzGerald, St. Joseph: Went 6-for-8 with four home runs, eight runs scored and seven RBIs in St. Joseph’s 3-0 week. She homered twice in St. Joseph’s 5-2 win over Ludlowe.
Sophie Garner-MacKinnon, Hall: Garner-MacKinnon threw another no-hitter, this time with 15Ks in a 4-0 win over Glastonbury.
Sophie Gendron, Oxford: The sophomore pitched no-hitters in consecutive games following a 10-inning outing to hand Seymour its first loss.
Olivia Greco, Amity: Hit home runs in three straight at bats in No. 9 Amity’s 18-2 win over Lyman Hall.
