Three Hendrix College Students Honored by Poets’ Roundtable of Arkansas CONWAY, Ark. (May 3, 2021) Poets’ Roundtable of Arkansas (PRA) has announced the winners of its 2021 statewide Jeanie Dolan Carter Memorial Collegiate Poetry Contest, and three Hendrix College students are among the honorees: Flannery Hirrel ’22 of Little Rock, Arkansas, Annemarie Bennett ’22 of Hurst, Texas, and Zoie Keys ’24 of Hot Springs, Arkansas. Because of the pandemic, instead of live readings, the winners shared recordings for the virtual Dr. Lily Peter Spring Celebration, an annual PRA event. Police: Dispute over payment for dog leads to N Spokane burglary

KXLY January 18, 2021 7:47 AM Erin Robinson SPOKANE, Wash. An argument over payment for a dog led to a burglary in northeast Spokane on Sunday, police said in a release. Officers responded to a home behind the northside Target for reports of a residential burglary. The victim said several people were trying to kick in her front door. The victim said she had recently gotten a dog from 42-year-old Erin Hoover and they had gotten into a dispute over payment for the animal. According to police, Hoover threatened the victim and said if she did not get all of the money by Sunday, she would come kick her down down.
