This is in des moines on Merle Hay Mall south of douglas. Our photographer said the hail was the size of nerds candy. So not enough to cause any damage. People in West Des Moines saw some flooding as well. This was at 50th and mills civic. Viewers tell us that sirens went off in West Des Moines as soon as the storm arrived. Students at ankeny, West Des Moines and waukee schools were also held until the storm moved by. 53 57 we were let out of school the tornado sirens went off so they tolds us that we had to go back in for shelter most of us went to the locker room and a couple people in scattered class rooms with no windows. I my self was in the locker room it was pretty packed in there. 54 10 once the storm passed we started receieved a lot of reports of as we said at the start of the show a tornado was reported near the airport.
