Imperial Beach council postpones in-person meetings until after the holidays

Imperial Beach city manager, employees get raise

Imperial Beach is rebuilding its Parks and Recreation Department from scratch

Print Beaches soiled by raw sewage. Outdated public amenities. A community swimming pool closed and slated for demolition. There have been few recreational opportunities in Imperial Beach in recent years, but the city is planning to change that by resurrecting its Parks and Recreation Department, said Mayor Serge Dedina. “It’s clear that we’ve had a parks and (recreation) debt, a social community debt that we haven’t paid yet and that’s investing back in our kids, our families and our seniors in these important recreational and community engagement activities and programs,” Dedina said, noting that the city is the only one in San Diego County without a dedicated Parks and Recreation Department.
