COSL Drilling Europe has secured a four-year frame contract from oil producer OKEA for drilling units on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS).

As exclusive supplier, COSL will provide semi-submersible drilling rigs for OKEA’s development and exploration drilling operations in NCS.

OKEA has awarded a four-year frame contract to
COSL Drilling Europe for the use of COSL’s energy-efficient drilling units on the
Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS).
As part of the agreement, COSL Drilling Europe (COSL) will be the exclusive provider of semi-submersible drilling rigs for OKEA’s NCS operations, with flexibility in terms of which of COSL’s identical and energy-efficient rigs are to be used. The agreement has four one-year extension options giving a potential total contract length of eight years.

OKEA : Acquisition of Vette discovery from Repsol

OKEA ASA is pleased to announce that the Company has signed a Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA) with Repsol Norge AS (Repsol) for the acquisition of Repsols 40% operated working interest in PL 972, which includes the Vette oil discovery, with effective date 1 January 2021.
The Vette discovery (Block 17/12) is located at a water depth of about 110 metres in the south-eastern part of the North Sea. OKEA estimates that the recoverable volumes are in the range of 30-50 mmboe. ONE-Dyas Norge AS and M Vest Energy AS each hold a 30% working interest in the licence which also includes the Mackerel and Brisling discoveries.
