According to Erie County Clerk Michael Kearns, renovations include new flooring, fresh paint, a public restroom and right-sizing of the office with a more efficient layout.
The Erie County Clerk's Office said New York State is no longer regularly mailing paper reminders to renew your registration. The Clerk's Office said that making an online payment to renew your registration through the state will even cancel paper reminders for good.

BUFFALO, N.Y. If you had an appointment at any of the Erie County Auto Bureau offices, keep an eye on your email.
That s because there is currently a system outage at the DMV and the offices are not able to process any transactions at this time.
Erie County Clerk Mickey Kearns says anyone with a Thursday appointment should check their email for services updates or to reschedule.
