DELPHI, Ind. (WLFI) A burst pipe has a Delphi canal dating back to the 1840s at an extremely low level, and many fish have died as a result.
Three thousand gallons of water are pumped into the Wabash and Erie Canal each day from a quarry.
U.S. Aggregates owns the quarry and the line that supplies the water, but cold temperatures caused the line to burst in January.
