STC selects Ericsson for managed services in Saudi
RIYADH, February 11, 2021 Saudi Telecom Company (stc) has selected Ericsson as its managed services provider in Saudi Arabia in an agreement, which will see the Swedish networking leader will deploy Ericsson Operations Engine to strengthen stc s network operations. Ericsson will deploy its latest Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered software suite and machine learning tools and capabilities to provide an automated end-to-end managed operations service. The Ericsson Operation Engine will support activities in Network Operation, IT Operations and Field Support and Maintenance for stc s networks, covering technology domains from the core to access, including 5G.

The telecommunications company Mobily recently announced an extension to its partnership with Ericsson (News - Alert) for operations management, using Ericsson’s Operations Engine in Saudi Arabia’s Western region. The deal has been signed for five more years, which will allow Mobily to employ cognitive software and network expertise developed by Ericsson. It would also include the use of Cloud VoLTE and Evolved Communication, which delivers voice and communication services across different types of devices using 4G/LTE (News - Alert) and 5G/NR radio networks and IP technology.

December 22, 2020: Mobily Saudi Arabia has extended its managed services partnership with Ericsson for a further five years. The deal covers fully managed end-to-end operations and optimisation services with Ericsson Operations Engine in Saudi Arabia’s Western region in addition to Ericsson Charging System, PS Core and Intelligent Network.
The new extension includes Cloud VoLTE and Evolved Communication, a solution that delivers voice and communication services across different types of devices and accesses. Ericsson will also provide network optimisation services, combining network expertise with its state-of-the-art cognitive software to deliver a better customer experience and ensure a superior return from network assets.
