<p><span>The Commodity Futures Trading Commission today announced that the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee entered a summary judgment order on March 16, 2022 for permanent injunction, monetary sanctions, and equitable relief against Rodney Scott Phelps, formerly of Tennessee. Previously, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee entered an order of default judgment (default order) against two other parties to the suit, Jason T. Castenir of Kentucky and Maverick Asset Management (Maverick) of Tennessee.</span></p>
<p><span>The Commodity Futures Trading Commission today simultaneously filed and settled charges against </span><span>ED&F Man Capital Markets, Ltd.</span><span> (ED&F Man), a London-based provisionally registered swap dealer, for failing to comply with certain swap dealer requirements to report accurate swaps data to a swaps data repository (SDR), failing to disclose a conflict of interest to swaps counterparties, failing to disclose mid-market marks to counterparties, and for related supervision failures.</span></p>
<p><span>The Commodity Futures Trading Commission today announced the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida entered consent orders on March 1 for permanent injunction, monetary sanctions, and equitable relief against </span><span>Marvin W. Courson III</span><span> (Courson) and </span><span>Christopher A. Kertatos</span><span> (Kertatos). Both Courson and Kertatos reside in Florida.</span></p>
<p><span>The Commodity Futures Trading Commission announced today that it issued an order suspending the registrations of Ted Brent Alexander of Jackson, Mississippi. The CFTC filed a Notice of Intent to Suspend or Modify registration under Section 8a(11) against Alexander on September 2, 2021. [See CFTC Press Release No. <a href="https://www.cftc.gov/PressRoom/PressReleases/8423-21">8423-21</a>]. The CFTC action is based on a federal criminal indictment charging Alexander with six felony counts of securities and commodities fraud, conspiracy, and wire fraud.</span></p>
