Today the Toronto Biennial of Art (the Biennial/TBA) announced its confirmed roster of Canadian and international artists for the second edition of the city-wide event, on view March 26 to June 5, 2022. Tairone Bastien, Candice Hopkins, and Katie Lawson are the curatorial team for the free, 72-day event with contributions from former TBA curators Clare Butcher and Myung-Sun Kim.
Outside Boston, deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum has opened the exhibition Jeffrey Gibson: INFINITE INDIGENOUS QUEER LOVE, on view through March 12, 2022. This exhibition concerns the intersections of four powerful words INFINITE INDIGENOUS QUEER LOVE. The two outer terms suggest boundless spaces and generative, tender relationships. The two interior terms convey markers of identity that Jeffrey Gibson disassembles and reconstructs through his artistic practice as a queer .
