A panel has recommended that a British museum return a landscape painting by Gustave Courbet to heirs of a Jewish engineer who joined the French Resistance.
A landscape painting owned by Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge, was seized by the Nazis and will be returned to the heirs of the Jewish owner it was taken from.
