Fewer people were out and about at parks, hawker centres and markets in the city-state on the first day of the new tightened Covid-19 restrictions.
Until June 13, people are allowed out only in groups of two, and dining in is prohibited.
When The Straits Times visited popular parks and nature reserves like East Coast Park, Singapore Botanic Gardens and Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, regular park-goers said that the Sunday morning crowd had thinned out and people were generally abiding by the rules.
At Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, safe distancing ambassadors and National Parks Board staff were spotted monitoring the crowd.

Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) has appointed
Edouard O’Neill as chief executive officer for the Hong Kong branch and head of structured finance for Asia.
Based in Hong Kong, he will report jointly to Michel Roy, senior regional officer for Asia-Pacific (Apac), and Jacques de Villaines, global head of structured finance.
O’Neill will lead the overall business development and strategy of the bank’s commercial franchise in Hong Kong and further develop the bank’s structured finance activities in Asia.

Singapore’s UOB has appointed Eric Lim as its first chief sustainability officer, Australia-based property group Lendlease has announced the appointment of Justin Gabbani as the group’s Asia CEO, while Knight Frank Asia-Pacific has appointed Christine Li as head of research, Asia-Pacific, based in Singapore.

United Overseas Bank has appointed Eric Lim as its first chief sustainability officer (CSO), according to an announcement.
In his new role, Lim will lead a dedicated corporate sustainability office which will focus on achieving the bank’s sustainability objectives of helping businesses advance responsibly, steering consumer wealth to sustainable investments, and fostering social inclusiveness and environmental well-being.
