The lab will be used to develop and test new robotic, off-site construction, artificial intelligence and digital twin tools
Quebec-headquartered contractor Pomerleau is partnering with a Montreal training centre to establish a new innovation lab focused on construction.
Located on the Factry campus in Montreal’s downtown, the Pomerleau aXLab will help ready new and innovative technology for deployment on job sites.
“With this project, we want to develop new skills to usher the construction industry into the future,” said Ian Kirouac, the executive vice-president for Canadian Building Operations and Corporate Transformation at Pomerleau, in a release. “Creativity means allowing yourself to imagine solutions to the most complex problems, and this partnership with Factry is the perfect way to accomplish that.”
