Military families, veterans and members of the community gathered at the East Mississippi Veterans Park Friday to mark Memorial Day with a ceremony remembering fallen soldiers.
Meridian and Lauderdale County residents will have several opportunities to recognize the sacrifices of military service members as several Memorial Day events are planned throughout the community.
