Nebraska Coach Reacts To Thomas Fidone’s Performance

Freshman tight end Thomas Fidone was the top recruit Nebraska landed in their 2021 recruiting class. And based on the first Cornhuskers practices, he’s quickly living up to the billing.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Nebraska tight ends coach Sean Beckton spoke glowingly of the freshman. He said that the “sky’s the limit” and praised him for improving since Day 1.
“Fidone has really, really improved since Day 1, and he’s only gonna get better from here,” Beckton said. “Sky’s the limit for him. He caught maybe four or five passes today, had a really good scrimmage.”

After three consecutive losing seasons under Scott Frost, the Nebraska football program has become a major target for ridicule over the past few months. Even Cornhuskers fans have started to call for major changes within to try and salvage what’s left of the team’s damaged reputation.
However, a recent comment from a Nebraska grad transfer may help quiet calls to shake things up in Lincoln.

Nebraska might’ve played its final 2020 home game at Memorial Stadium on Saturday. Like much of the Cornhuskers season, this weekend’s contest ended in defeat.
Scott Frost and Nebraska football dropped a fifth game on Saturday, falling 24-17 to a depleted Minnesota squad. The Golden Gophers were reportedly missing 33 players for the division contest, but still pulled out the win.
