Lawyers for Eddie Ray Routh say they will appeal. Routh admitted shooting kyle and chad littlefield at a firing range two years ago, but as adriana diaz reports, late last night jurors rejected claims that he was insane. Reporter two hours and 25 minutes after nine days of deliberations in this courtroom behind me to decide the fate of Eddie Ray Routh. Weve waited two years for god to get justice for us on behalf of our son. Reporter judy little field fought back tears of joy after a judge sentenced Eddie Ray Routh for life for murdering her son chad along with chris kyle on a shooting range in texas. A jurisdiction of eight membership and ten women were seated following a twomonth selection process. The prosecution is expected to present graphic images of the destruction and injuries caused bizarre by tsarnaev two years ago. The 21yearold faces 20 charges that killed four and injured more than 260 in april of 2013. Prosecutor are seeking the death penalty. They are dzhokhar and his brother tamerlan. Tsarnaevs lawyers made multiple attempts to get the case moved out of boston arguing the citys residents have too many ties to the bombings to make up an impartial jury. Man enters an exxon station in maryland. Hes there to rob the place. Thats clear. What happens next is unusually brazen for this type of crime. He point blanks shoots our victim in the chest and walks around the counter of the exxon, steps over his dead body and takes money. Recovery efforts are under way this morning in Virginia Beach after a powerful storm caused extensive damage and injured at least ten people. The Severe Weather hit thursday afternoon. A possible tornado may have touched down. Homes in a fiveblock radius were damaged by the strong winds. Windows were knocked out and trees blown down. A wildfire in Central Washington is threatening more than 200 homes. The mills canyon fire burned 28 square miles in just two days, and fire officials fear it may double in size. Residents of about a dozen homes have been told to evacuate. And a severe drought has lowered water levels at the hoover dam to record levels. Levels at lake mead are the lowest since the dam was built on the california arizona border. Lake mead is the primary water source for las vegas. The dam is also affecting production of electricity.
