The Frigid Fringe Festival in New York said it would no longer bill itself as “uncensored” after deciding not to move ahead with a performance it deemed anti-trans.
In response to the ongoing crisis in Ukraine, NYC’s finest comics and clowns came together for “The Kraine for Ukraine Comedy Benefit” on March 15 at NYC’s legendary Kraine Theater. The one night only event raised close to $3,500, which will be divided between Ukrainian Congress Committee of America (UCCA) and ProEnglish Theatre - an artist shelter based in Kyiv.

My first indoor concert in more than a year. Two solo acoustic performers: a ridiculously talented young guy, Max Doud, then Tommy Brunett, scratchy-voiced scenester and Fairport whiskey baron. It was a night at The Penthouse at One East Avenue, 11 floors up in the downtown Rochester skyline. It’s a spacious room, and the tables seemed separated enough. All four of the people at our table were fully vaccinated.
